Confidentiality

This is an easy one.  Nothing is confidential in a work environment especially those things designated as confidential.  Depending on the nature of the gossip it may be limited to certain individuals but rest assured they know all of your secrets.  The people in finance know how much money you make, HR knows your performance record and your peers know your status within the organization.  You can't control this but you can minimize it by keeping your confidential information and thoughts to yourself.
