This is not a serious post but a sharing of an incident I was told of several years ago. A friend of mine told me how she has a friend that is a very successful broker that was frustrated with her husband's lack of support when trying to manage a household of 5 children under the age of 15. After her continued requests for support and his denial of said support, she informed him that she was seeking a divorce. He immediately began to rant and rave about how he would not allow her to take his children away. Her response was that she had no intention of taking the children with her. He then asked her how could she leave him. Her response as she sat at her vanity table brushing her hair was, "I will miss you terribly and think of you often." Her actions that day led to marriage counseling and the much needed assistance from her spouse. Although I would not recommend doing this, I believe that many men faced with the prospect of raising 5 children alone would become flexible and understanding.
